KINDNESS IN ACTION - SUPPORTING WELLBEING, INDEPENDENCE & CONNECTION.
We provide practical, emotional, and digital support to help people live independently, stay connected, and maintain their wellbeing.
Our services are designed to prevent isolation, support daily living, and promote dignity, choice, and control.

DIGITAL WELLBEING & CONNECTION
OUR UNIQUE APPROACH
At Kindness in Action we go beyond traditional home care. While our trained support workers provide hands-on help and companionship, our digital services ensure regular check-ins, video calls, and wellbeing support — giving families peace of mind and keeping loved ones connected, even when distance or circumstances make visits difficult. It’s personalised, flexible care that blends the best of in-person and modern technology.

OUR COMMITMENT TO THE CARE ACT 2014 WELLBEING PRINCIPLE
Everything we do is guided by the Care Act 2014 wellbeing principle.
This means we focus on supporting personal dignity, physical and mental wellbeing, and giving people control over their daily lives.
We encourage participation in family and community life, help protect against loneliness and isolation, and promote independence and choice.
Our services are person-centred and preventative, designed to provide support before needs escalate so people can continue living well, confidently, and with reassurance.

HOME & DAILY LIVING SUPPORT
A clean, comfortable home can make a real difference to everyday life. We help with household tasks that may become harder over time, whether due to age, illness, disability, or reduced mobility. This can include light cleaning, vacuuming, changing bed linen, laundry, washing up, keeping the kitchen clean, and general tidying. We always work in a way that feels right for you — offering support without taking over, and making sure you stay in control of your home and how things are done.
Moving around the home can sometimes feel difficult. We offer gentle support with everyday movement, such as getting in and out of bed, standing from chairs, and moving safely around the home. Our focus is on providing reassurance, reducing risk, and helping you stay confident and independent in your own space.
MOBILITY & MOVING ABOUT THE HOME
MEAL PREP & NUTRITION SUPPORT
Food and drink are an important part of daily comfort and routine. We offer support with preparing meals and drinks, from making a cup of tea to helping with simple, home-cooked meals. Our support is shaped around personal preferences, routines, and cultural needs, helping people eat well, stay hydrated, and continue enjoying food in a way that feels familiar and right for them.
We offer gentle support with medication routines, such as reminders, help with organising medication, collecting prescriptions, and checking supplies. Our approach is supportive rather than hands-on, helping you stay organised, confident, and in control of your medication as part of your everyday routine.
MEDICINAL SUPPORT
COMPANIONSHIP & EMOTIONAL SUPPORT
Loneliness and isolation can have a real impact on wellbeing, which is why our companionship support focuses on social contact, emotional reassurance, and meaningful interaction. This may include friendly conversation, shared activities such as games, hobbies, or reading, support during daily routines, and having a listening ear when it’s needed. Sometimes what makes the biggest difference is simply having someone to talk to. Our support workers take time to listen, get to know you, and build consistent, respectful relationships based on trust and understanding, helping to reduce loneliness and bring comfort, reassurance, and connection.
Staying connected to the outside world is important for wellbeing, and we offer support to help you get out and about in a way that feels comfortable and right for you. This can include support with attending appointments, going shopping, visiting family and friends, taking part in community groups, faith settings, or local activities, and enjoying walks or outings. We work at your pace and provide steady, reassuring support, helping you stay active, involved, and connected to your community.
